Title: Duckbill for UCE?
Post by: Ducati Scotty on July 03, 2010, 03:29:28 am
So do the UCE engines still have a breather and catch can?  Can you mount a duckbill to oil the chain like on earlier models?

I'll bet they have a PCV valve on it somewhere, and a hose going to the inlet system somewhere.
That would be the breather hose.

There is a hose from the case to the air box, if there is a pcv valve it's hidden

Scott it appears that the C5 has a pretty good breather set up. I'm not noticing any oil in the air box. It has an oil deflector on the right side cover, the breather hose connects to it.From there to the air box, no pcv  valve. The air is then recycled through the Intake.

Yup, sounds like it doesn't spit any significant amount of oil.  Thanks guys :)

It doesn't. Just a smear if you run your finger round the inside of the air box
