I get my stuff from Hitchcocks via Royal Mail. Usually takes 6-10 days and has good tracking. A 1 pound package of parts maybe $20, but bigger, heavier stuff costs a lot. If you're looking at an economy ride, the Japanese pretty much have that covered. The Iron Barrel is labor & parts intensive, and requires a lot of owner interaction. I like mine very much, but daily low-buck commuting is arguably better served with an appliance-like scooter or maybe a Honda Twinstar or 250 V-star Yamaha. Kind of the same horsepower, but 60 years newer design. Like my brother told me years ago - "If you wants ta go, ya gotts ta pay".
