Has anybody been running E5 instead of E10 in the 500 perchance. Just wondering if there is any noticeable difference in cases where thats all there is left at the pumps?

Occasionally. It's fine when fresh. It goes off quickly (few weeks). On another bike, I thought I had a fuelling problem, until I replaced 4 week old E10. Only 4 weeks. I try to keep to E5, or I'll not fill with E10 and top up with E5 later. The symptoms were rough starting and intermittent missing, most obvious in low gears, jerky throttle.

Either is bad so E10 is worse, I have already experienced a melted fuel sender on my B5 and I only use E5 super unleaded.

the less ethanol, the better. That stuff is only good in beverages. Ethanol is the reason I am not buying carbureted bikes anymore. Ethanol laced gasoline is the devil's work.

I think I'm lucky. There's no ethanol fuel in Cambodia so I don't need to think about it. Doesn't mean there isn't water or any other quality issue though so I try to stick to getting fuel at high turnover petrol stations.

Well there’s a lot of countries not implementing these green policies only the EU if they think they are going to save the planet they are joking they seem to fail to understand it’s a globalised problem and most countries now can’t afford it.

On an American youtube channel I watch, the guy made a throwaway comment of 'I see we are getting E15 now' so it isn't just the EU.
