Title: A few words on marriage.
Post by: Desi Bike on January 26, 2013, 10:47:43 pm
Marriage is like a deck of cards.
At first all you need is a pair of hearts and one diamond.
At the end you are in need of a club and a spade.

doh. Meant to post this in Campfire forum.

I don't have the balls to post something like that. Literally, I don't, the wife has one and the girlfriend has the other.

All depends on the girl you pick.  We started our marriage with two hearts, no diamonds, and I hope I won't ever need any of the other stuff.

For some perspective, we were pretty broke when we go married.  She was in school and I had sold my bikes years ago when I went back to school.  She kept telling me to go get a bike, I said we didn't have the money.  The day she called me to tell me she had accepted a job offer I told her congratulations and I was going to be home late, had to go bike shopping.  She's a keeper.

I was happily married for two years, totally married for twelve years. Finally got my papers signed off the other day. $170,000 later. I have my bike and my kids, the three most important things in life.

I wish you the best My Desi Bhai, Enjoy the children they are indeed the most important, and Yikes I guess the Canadians are indeed as expensive in the divorce dept. ( happened to me after 15 years of marriage, March 2012 and a "Ton" of money  :-\ ) I have 2 beautiful children that matter the most, Bought the bike after the fact.

I've been trying to get divorced for over 10 years. So I actually do have a wife and a girlfriend.

Well, through all the practice runs, I did find the types not to marry; really genuinely stupid women, Thieves, particularly when you are the target!, Women who don't honor those premarital promises, and genuine certifiable nut cases!
I've found a pretty good one this time around, she doesn't bug me much about motorcycles and airplanes, but she gets the rest of her family to to it. That part's easy enough to handle. But she takes very good care of me. That's the part I like! I try to respond, but she's just a better person than I am, I guess!

ON BIKES & MARRIAGE: I have observed that those who have one or several bikes at the time of Marriage, Have a much easier time getting another, than those who had none at the time of Marriage.
If you are contemplating being married, be sure to already have a bike & a good dog-Then youre set.

+1.  And if you already have a bike and a dog and she wants you to get rid of either, find a new woman.

And once you get a motorcycle and a good dog, ask yourself: do I really need a wife?

put a hack on the bike, install dog....go camping, or fishing or just ride.
the dog will never complain, and where ever you are the dog will be happy to be there.

And the right wife is equally happy to go with you or let you go on your own.

Aaah but there are so few of them around...the lucky dogs have 'em already.

....And I am pretty sure they (the wives) say the same about us dogs.

3 dogs, 2 bikes and my childhood Sweetheart "grew up" on a motorcycle...so, I married her.
You'll get no complaints from me. I consider myself one of the "lucky dogs" <WOOF!> ;D
