While at work I logged onto my wifes facebook to snag a couple pictures of our new baby to show some guys at work.....
the first post in her news feed was a picture that one of her friends posted.
WTF?!!!
A picture of Adam Levine (lead singer of Maroon 5) laying naked over the back fender of a C5 Military. Helmet over the crotch and all.....I guess it was a promo shot for his upcoming hosting of SNL. who cares what it was for.
....why?!
Now, I refuse to post the picture here but I couldn't NOT say something about this.
why?!

I don't do "Tracebook", er... I mean "Facebook" and I never have, and I never will.
It's nothing more than a thinly veiled data-mining exercise, and I won't participate in it.
Facebook has already claimed copyright and use rights to anything and everything that is posted on it, and Instagram has done the same.
It's a garbage website. They are mining your personal data, photos, and information, and selling it to spammers and ad agencies and such. Then they use that info to send crap to your page and to your email and your friends, and who knows what else? And now they even have various government agencies filtering thru all the data on facebook to assemble dossiers on everybody in spying fashion. Notice the media goes right to the Facebook page of anybody who gets arrested, or is in a media whirlwind, and publishes the pictures and info on TV and print media.
I'm really not sure why so many people are so interested in this kind of privacy invasion.
It's sickening.

agreed. I do not have a facebook. I refuse to have a facebook....on that note my wife can have one if she want's because being military it's an easy way to stay connected with family and I understand that she gets lonely at times being separated from family and friends.
other than that, i'm all set.
and can we please talk about how disturbing that photo was? or do I have to post it?! haha

Not a privacy invasion, but an inducement to un-privatize your own life in the most extreme manner possible...what's scary is that to many people, events aren't real until they're posted on Facebook or some other mass media. Warhol's 15 min of fame realized.
This is one of the funnier takes on it:

For Christmas, my son gave several of the men in the family a T shirt with a large WTF printed on the back.
In smaller text below the initials was the explanation, "Welcome To Flagstaff". :)

Haha. Stick around... but you owe us a better photo to stop the burning in our eyes! ;)

Please, O my brothers! Girls with clothes on, please, and an iron-barrel bike if possible.

not royal enfield, but one of my favorites
-
what the hell..how u get a pic of my lady on my bike... ;D
-
I had to chuckle at this one. My wife and her friends all have a thing for the guy from maroon 5. I believe it was the 'moves like jagger' video that did it. I showed her this photo, and for the first time I think she took interest in my C-5 Mil, she also had some nasty things to say about helmet laws.

Looks like a nice Ducati 250.
And the girl is just spectacular!
-
I'd ride her........ The bike! I'd ride the bike!
Scottie

My bike did not come with those options.
