So thought I'd save a few quid by buying a service kit off ebay. Wrong plug wrong air filter wrong oil filter O rings and fibre washers. Lesson learned go to Hichcocks

Do a claim via eBay specifying "Wrong Item(s) Sent".  If that doesn't pan out (or even if it does, you get your money back and they don't insist on a return), post pictures here with part numbers, if possible. On the off chance they just mistakenly sent you gear for the Iron Barrel, which seems semi-likely, if you're in the States I'll make it right: give you what you paid, and just toss 'em on a shelf for later. Or, maybe it's for some other model someone can use?

+1, agree with the Bilgemeister.

Especially, if you pay with Paypal, and respond with issues within 90 days, or perhaps it's 60, you are covered.

I ordered some brake pads about 6 months ago, and neglected to open the package until last week, when I discovered they were the wrong pad.  I requested, and received a full refund, despite the fact that I had failed to bring up the issue in a timely fashion.  Of course, the wrong parts, even if they are free, don't do much good.

If I'm in a hurry, I'll buy from Hitchcocks.  Their pricing isn't bad at all, it's the shipping that is painful.

If I'm not in a hurry, I'll buy from two alternate sellers, at the same time, figuring one shipment will likely get through.  If they both arrive, that's fine, plugs and filters will eventually get used, and if I have no use for them, I can resell them at a profit.   Parts command a higher price being resold from a US seller, because folks know they will get it much sooner and more reliably.

You always have to know what you are buying. I only buy genuine Royal Enfield parts and I know what part numbers I need and check the part numbers the eBay sellers have listed. Many eBay sellers don’t list the part numbers. These dealers I do not buy from.

Personally, I wouldn't buy Genuine Royal Enfield Bosch spark plugs.

That would be a worse Idea than buying a genuine BMW motor oil.

Yes, NGK plugs are a given. Even though I have never had an issue with the stock Bosch spark plugs. But then Royal Enfield don’t make spark plugs or BMW oil ether!

Many years ago when I rode Honda GoldWings there was people that would have 25-35k in their bikes but then would shop for the cheapest oil filter they could find.  Some found it and had their engines destroyed because the glue in the filters in the cheap Chinese filters dissolved and wiped out all the bearing in their motors.

I ended up going to Hichcocks cheaper minus air filter individually the parts worked out cheaper. The ebay seller is being really difficult and is still selling this kit on 4 different postings.

Well if you buy off eBay be prepared for that kind service from time to time, there's some right conmen on there.

Well some of the specialised tools are ok from eBay, dirt cheap you may only use them once, l can't see point in paying a 100 for a tool when you can get if for 15' pennies are tight if it does the job it does the job, normally always Chinese or Hong Kong, but the devil needs where the devil must.
