Title: Installing the clutch center and primary sprocket
Post by: kishore on May 11, 2018, 08:37:38 pm
Hello All,
I have  2003 500ES, the Spag clutch went bad so i got a new one and a bunch of service manuals, these helped me pull out the primary so i could install the spag gear. Now comes time to assemble and i am unable to figure out how to press in the clutch center backplate (clutch hub) and later the sprocket on the crank. The manuals show how to disassemble but provides no help in assembly, would appreciate any help on this. Thanks in advamce

I'm not really sure I understand your problem. Does the clutch center not fit un the splined shaft? On my bikes it just slipped on, or at least it does with some light force applied (by hand or rubber hammer).
