Title: A SWEET SMELL IN THE ATL, GA METRO AIR -- IT'S THE C5
Post by: Cabo Cruz on July 03, 2009, 11:50:58 pm
Yes, the C5 is on the floor at GA Powerworks in Marietta!!!  I had the pleasure of looking at and admiring a Classic (Black) 500 this morning.  To cut to the chase, it is an absolute beauty!!!  Period.  End of story.

P.S. Call Gary at 770-420-0681 if you wish to fall in love, all over again, with a two-wheeled dame!

Thanks for asking Cabo, She's doing very well, good enough to take a swat at me for calling her Scabby  ;D Most of the brusing is gone and all she can think of is getting back in the saddle.

An outstanding health report, Br. Dannie; and, an even better attitude about getting back on the horse that throwed her!  ;)

That's MY C5 over there! In a horrible ironic twist, I was sent to India for work while the black C5 made it's way across the Atlantic.  I get back from India on the 20th and will claim the bike shortly therafter. It's been killing me to see how much fun everyone on this forum is having, and then seeing loads of Enfields here in Bangalore.

Patience is a virtue that I need to work on. Anyway, i don't have much longer to wait.

Oh, and hello to all. This is my first post.

Chris

Chris,

Once you get back and settled let me and Cabo know when you want to ride! ;D

We need to get the ATL RE's together more often.

Garry asked if I wanted to have the engine changes done to my C5 as it amounts to a free upgrade at this point. Of course I do. Once that is done I will finally get to purchase the thing and ride away. If everything goes smoothly with the upgrade I might have her this Friday.

I like it!
That color gives a very "vintage" look.

Br. Dannie, the Classic Green, as I said, makes for a very pretty bike!  You feel about the Classic Green color the same way I feel about the Royal Maroon color -- "I'd like to see one in person."  The guys at GA Powerworks expect their next shipment to arrive by the middle of the month; it will hopefully include a red specimen!   :)

That's the color I got!  I think it's the most"vintage" looking of the lot.  I found a picture of a 350cc made between 1948 and 1951 in the coffee table book "Royal Enfield:  The Legend Rides On" ...about the company in India. The Teal C5 is a dead ringer for that bike right to the color (well, the bike in the book is a tiny bit more grren than blue...)  I was amazed.
