"Kawasaki 2022. Global Sales Sharply Declining At Lowest Out Of Last 10 Years"

Honda CB350. More than 250,000 were sold in five years, with 67,180 sold in 1972 alone.

The world's most popular motorcycle all time? RE Bullet 350/500.

It's a radical concept, people buy what they want. Conversely....

Well that one won't ever get the approval I guess.  ;)

not a PT6A but similar, rather ambitious project, may not have achieved all that large sale's volumes either.

The Bullet doesn't need approval - it's already here and with 50 production years of spare parts behind it. What's lacking is folks with some mechanical aptitude and a willingness to get greasy whilst interacting with their bike. Maybe there's "an app" for that?  ::)

Bullet Whisperer has run afoul of many RE machines recently that were purchased well polished & "cherried out" by parties unknown and sold to feckless owners. The problem comes when these owners just want to add gas, give the kickstart lever a half-hearted prod & ride off with carefree abandon. That's not quite the reality of 1935 era hardware; much more was expected of the owner. Apparently a "big ask" today.
A trifecta of Pre-Unit Bullets: a Red Deluxe 500, a Green Standard 500, and a Black ES 350.

... pretty big ask, I agree. No time neither money to take care of 1935 hardware here. And if you wrap parcels all day long in Amazon you may not be all that keen of keeping your 1935 hardware running either in order to make it the next day to work.

Agreed, but the working folks short of cash with 2-wheel dreams will likely be scooter owners - no driveline maintenance, at least some weather protection, crazy-high fuel efficiency.

The folks buying Bullets & other rolling antiques cherried-out by others are by and large monied trophy hunters. You can't possibly coexist with a pre-unit bullet unless you either do all the maintenance/repair yourself or have a big enough box of play money to pay others (very) well to do it for you. They take continuous care and a steady (hopefully small..) stream of parts & lubricants to remain happy. If that's not your idea of a good time, you probably wouldn't like wooden boat ownership either.

Even your lovely well-sorted GT535 UCE would have become a horrendous money pit if you had payed others to do all of the work that YOU personally did. Possession of a running antique that others maintain just denotes the size of your wallet, not a personal accomplishment. It becomes in a sense an acquired "big game" trophy: the game guide lined up the animal, handed you the gun, finished killing, skinning & processing the animal. Paying for airline tickets, permits, guide fees and taxidermy doesn't make you a mighty hunter. Mere possession isn't a guarantor of proficiency & accomplishment, but it does connote this to others unschooled in the craft.

Horrendous money pit it is anyway, all you can do is try to minimize the losses. However, I'm sure to keep an IB rolling and rolling well, may not cost much less.

The diesel, hybrid and BEV men sure have the better idea.
