Is that a burnout, or is the clutch just not dialed in? Is there even a clutch?

I think he is just heating up the tires before doing an actual timed run.

Your correct, I didn't watch the video. Super odd seeing that in virtual silence. The weight of the batteries has to be the limiting factor. In acceleration contests weight is a big factor. I wonder what that machine weighs?

" Even though this plug-and-play powerplant will bolt up with a stock driveshaft and utilize your existing rear differential, those parts had best better be ready for violence. The motor’s 533 hp and more than 800 lb-ft of torque will absolutely annihilate everything fragile between the motor and pavement. However, with torque management software, that twist could be tamed to roll out in a fashion more like that of a lightly-modded stocker. But why would you sandbag that much?

EV West has told The Drive that estimated pricing is in the $25,000–$35,000 range for the crate motor package itself, meaning that your budget will have to stretch to include the associated motor controllers, batteries, and hardware. "

Haha, so Ditch the LS and run straight off the starter motor! So good. Too bad about the price, and the usual e power issues

Looks like the perfect fix for an old motorhome or caravan, eh? a set of dual tires could support enough batteries to go maybe 250 - 300 miles at a crack. Although for what you'd spend to get an operational machine you could spent 4 months continuously in a 5-star hotel. :o
The Missus might have a bit to say there about your spending choices, 'cause "If Mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy".  ;D >:(
