Hi Guys,

Today seen the Powertronics piggy back by Racedynamics for Interceptor 650 want to know does it really work on interceptor 650 as I have already installed the AEW free flow exhaust also planning for DNA free flow air filter..

As I have checked the powertronics piggy back by racedynamics web page they state that it increases the power by 3 bhp in curve 2

Does it really work please help me in deciding weather i should go with it or should save more for dynojet power commander

It depends upon what you plan to do with your bike. Many of us have spent thousands of dollars making our 500s go a little faster so that we can safely ride the bikes on the interstates. With the Interceptor able to hit the ton without any modification, there is less incentive other than our usual desire to tinker  :)

Great stuff on S&S to get us started!

August is almost here..............................go for it! Maybe just the cams, those pipes are a bit rich for my blood. Other choices will be available, no doubt, from other companies. Plus, it is fairly quick right out of the box, especially compared to a C5.

I am not familiar with powertronics per say.  But I do know that if you are putting a free flow exhaust and a high flow filter into your machine, you will need to adjust the fuel one way or the other.  The free flow filter and exhaust will lean out the mixture, and in some bikes too much.  The number of 2 bhp above stock is probably right.   With my 535, a KandN filter with free flow exhaust and power commander gave me 5 bhp more over stock.

The Bosch unit in the 650 will self diagnose and reset

mevocgt, did you get that figure from a dyno or from seat of the pants? Either way, that is a substantial improvement and relatively easily had. I have done all that on my C5, plus a custom cam made for me by Gashousegorilla, but I have not bothered with the dyno run. GHG knew approxmimately how the mapping should be set on the PC5, as he has done many like this. I had always figured I had around a 6 HP increase. Your 535 must go quite nicely.

So all the language on the S&S site about these big-bore kits (and pretty much everything except the "50 state" version of the exhaust) being "race only" is there just to keep regulators happy? They'll sell to dealers and you can pick up and install (or have installed)?

I installed one on my 2009 BMW F650GS and it works exactly as explained.  It did not affect steady-throttle running or the fuel mileage, but it did clear up a nasty series of dead spots throughout the rev range that bike had when accelerating under full throttle.   :)
