ACR, thanks! That's the Wassell trials seat, and I reckon it's not the saddle I'd mount up for a three hour tour. That BSA one I linked before (https://www.feked.com/bsa-scramble-single-seat-a10ss-spitfire-scrambler-bsa-goldstar-scrambler.html) looks like a far better bet for that. Truth be told I might go that way myself in the next iteration of this bike's design.

Nonfiction - Nice job on your ride! Is that the BSA scrambler seat? Is it comfortable for 3-4 hours? - ACR -
Looks to me that the seat is paired perfectly with the fuel tank capacity . BTW that's a beautiful ride

cyrusb, indeed! When I fill the tank, usually from Reserve, I'm adding 1.1-1.2gal. I think I'm going 50ish miles on that, though I haven't noted carefully. Thinking a bit about a bigger tank (Woodsman!) up the road. I expect a poofier seat will be indicated as well if I do end up doing any kind of mileage. Meantime I carry a 1l aluminum fuel bottle in my napsack.

Greetings to all!  Looking today, I see the Nick closed late last year.  I'm really sorry to see that.  That said, is there some interest in getting together somewhere in Seatlle this year?  As my kids have been growing this has become my one long ride each year and I've sorely missed it.

So, any interest in reviving the get together this year?  Any suggestions for a place to meet?

Hoping to see you all soon,
Scott

I’m interested in still having the meet up. I always look forward to this event
Not sure on a venue though.
The Shop in SODO has nice outdoor seating and lots of area for parking.

By the way, you should all say 'yes' to motivate me to finally complete all the deferred maintenance on my SV650.  I've got the shims to do the valve adjustment (which I think I've been planning to do for at least four years), new chain and sprockets are sitting in the corner, and fork bushings and seals are on order to sort out the leaky right leg.

Scott ;)

It’s called “the Shop” it’s a warehouse/club where you can store your car, lots of cool exotics and vintage cars. They put on lots of car events. The Backfire Moto night was held there for a year a couple years ago.

Be good to see some more Bulleteers out and about in the Seattle area. There used to be a ton of you(/us)... what happened? Backfire will be this Weds (4/20) at The Shelter in Ballard (the long-time spot). I've seen Damon there in the past. I expect to be there on my crusty little runt. Will anyone else make it out?

Fair enough, southlander. I'll keep looking in here for word of a get-together. Got one or two other buddies not on here who might show if such a thing comes together.
