Having trouble with Brake Light on all the time. Pulled Front Brake Light switch and beware the little plunger (plastic) after a while tends to get bent. I flipped 180 degrees and installed works good now. For how long don't know. FYI. Probably will order new. Think it's caused by crappy finish on brake handle where it hits. Trying to think of a way to improve handle without removing material. Like adding piece of shim stock or metal tape to surface. Got any ideas? Might machine slot and add slick metal insert.
My 2008 B500 Military running great at 3200 miles. Thinking on planning the MVPA 3500 Lincoln run in June. So long thanks for the help. Eric

My switch was damaged after I strapped ithe bike down in the back of my pickup. One of my attaching "hold-down" straps was attached to the handlebars such that it pressed on the brake light switch bending it somewhat. Have you trailered your bike recently?

CMW has the switch on sale in the Clearance Center right now,

Might be a good time to stock up at that price.

Absolutely! at that price, you can't go wrong.

a tiny dab of white lithium grease cured this prob on mine or was it De-ox.

Cool, mine is a little loose so I ordered 2, just because they are $2...

reviving an old topic but having an issue... brake light flickers (sometimes) and sometimes does not light when using front brake... replace the switch?
-
and check for corrosion on bulb, and check ground...

brand new led fixture, no more bird house... and it's only when the front brake is used.... I wasn't sure if there was a "fix" for the switch or if it was a replacement item...

if you have any electrikle contact cleaner you could spray
some up into the switch. Maybe that little nub is worn
or bent over.....
