When I was out on my bike this morning the speedo needle started dropping to 0 and then going back to speed again, it did this over and over. After shoogling the cable about I was convinced that a wire had broken. On investigating the wire had broken deep inside the pick-up. Has anyone else had this? I can't imagine how this can happen as it is moulded in / encased in resin. Perhaps the resin has corrosive properties? Any way I hacked it apart and made a repair, hopefully it will last for ages.
