Title: What is the highway MPG for your C5? Around town? I'm talking C5 here.
Post by: emskee on October 21, 2009, 05:59:29 pm
Please.

For those of you who ride a C5, what kind of miles per gallon do you get on the freeway?  Around town?  Notice any change in cold weather?

Thank you in advance for answering my question about miles per gallon for the C5 on and off the freeway in warm and cold weather.

Mike

r80rt & josepharra48,

Thanks.  I called the dealer and he told me that 70-75 is what to expect for freeway and mixed driving so you guys are on the mark and I feel like I 've got a clue now.

Since I stared using the freeway after 1200 miles or whatever, my mileage went from better than 79 mpg to 73, 70 and 63 for three consecutive fill ups.  However....this mornings fill up put me at 72.  So, given what you have seen and what the dealer tells me, I'm in there and the 63 mpg, which has been bothering me, must've been bad gas, a stupid me fill up error, or whatever.

Thanks and ride safe.

Mike
