Title: Michael Vick (dogkiller)
Post by: dogbone on August 26, 2009, 05:30:54 pm
I tried to stirr up some excitement on the garbone's chicken entry, but it was all played out!
As a longtime dog owner, I was appalled at the NFL allowing that Flaming Azzhole back on the field. Motherrapers, fatherstabbers Etc There are no standards for integrity. :(

It amazes me how men have had huge ability to be cruel to so many things -beings, actually, like buffalo, dogs, cats elephants, gorillas, and going back in history some- even humans like black people, native americans, women, Jews, etc.
I'm kind of hoping maybe it's a matter of education and perspective.   I'm hoping that his eyes have been opened.  I know it's a long shot...

My Great Grandmother used to say are you sorry you did the deed or sorry you got caught?  His is the latter..hopefully he will get boycotted at every game by the opposite team.  Will.

Has he rehabilitated himself so he can go burn women and children's villages? I say he should stay on the Group W bench.

All Stick and Ball sports suck.

ERC, I think you missed 131's reference to the lyrics of 'Alice's Restaurant.'

Ah, some of us are starting to show our age!

I wonder if dog fighting is that much worse than boxing.  Of course, boxers have some choice while dogs are just forced into it, but the bloody and sometimes deadly results may be the same.

As for Michael York, I can't judge where he stands now, hopefully humbled enough to see the villainy in it all.  Getting in with the wrong crowd can cause us to forget the consequences, so I'm with the opinion that he has the right to a second chance.

Alice's restaurant.  My late father in-laws favorite song.  Played it at his wake.  I never knew the meaning of the song (since I am 20 years his younger) until that day.  As far as Vic, I really could care less.  I just popped in because of the song relate.......  In my not so humble opinion the NFL is an example of capitalism and Americas faults all wrapped into a one organization.  EDIT, LJ^  Michael York.  Nice!  It's like you are half a world away and North of Australia or something LOL.

Ok, OK - Michael Vick - but I've never seen him play, haven't seen an NFL football game for over fifteen years, nor any football game for that matter, nor any real sports at all for that matter!

But, on the other hand, lots of time to do other things like ride and pamper my bike, as well as making an arse out of myself on this forum by mistaking Michael York for Michael Vick  - oh well such is life in the slow lane.

Yeah, way out of the stadium, it is true. :(

Don't woory Larry, most of us can only dream of life in the "slow lane".  I would be off to join a good friend's venture in the Phillipines ( not sure if that quite qualifies as slow lane though) if I were single.  Harsh reality is I'm married and staying right wehere I am, which isn't all bad to be fair.
I very nearly moved to a remote part of Thailand about 7 years or so back and will always wonder about the "what iffs".

I hope you didn't take offense!  My comments were intended as positive.  On my auto forum someone posted "If you could live anywhere but here where would it be.  I said Tonga, no one knew where it was.  That only added to my affection for the place LOL.
