Frampton's in the UK makes these. Nice quality and look great on the C5.

Probably not illegal in the US as an aftermarket item.  There are lots of things that can't come from the factory because they're unsafe but if you put it on yourself after manufacture there's nothing illegal about it.  Also, lots of things that would be illegal on cars get by on motorcycles.  Just so few on the road comparitively they don't bother making the rules.

I ordered the nfield one and plan on cutting my own letters/numbers to match my plate. I have a vinyl cutter. :)

These look neat though - looks like its stamped or raised?

They are stamped (raised letters) with a black enameled background. They make a Triumph-style one identical in size to the one they sell @ CMW that can be stamped with 5 letters/numbers. This is the 310mm one that can be stamped with 7.
