Title: Homemade sidecar plans
Post by: Jon on May 02, 2017, 09:34:55 pm
Found this old popular mechanics plan for a sidecar. The technology would be appropriate for a Bullet although you would have to find or fabricate a chassis.

What a rig! With steam bent Ash longerons... It would have been gorgeous with wood skin instead of that space-age aluminium.  8)

You wouldn't have page 134 would you Jon? I would like to read the whole thing. Maybe keep a copy for my sidecar book collection?  ::)

Sorry don't have page 134 and haven't been able to find it online. I did find a set of three books with reprints of various Popular Mechanics projects including one converting an old Harley to a snowmobile but no sidecar.

That magazine was the best! ( I know it is still published but a mere shadow of it's former self). I always lusted after the one-man hydroplane plans.

This is great find!!
