Title: Most expensive RE?
Post by: dave48 on October 19, 2007, 12:24:36 pm
One of the priciest REs you will ever see I think - on ebay UK a 1924 V-twin!

And it is lovely. Wonder if H'cocks will buy it? Could probably write some of cost off against advertising budget for tax purposes!

The model K s built in the early days before WWII were considered a side car tug due to there cubic displacement (most were near 1000 cc). They were neat biks but you see very few of them these days outside of museums. They are definitely in a collectors market today and could fetch whatever somebody was willing to pay for one.

Figuring the bike to be about 83 years old, makes me wonder if we have really come that far, and looking at the various parts like the gas tank, whether we haven't regressed.  Thanks for letting us know about it, Dave!
