Just a heads-up: I posted a report about a beautiful ride to the Grand Canyon I did last week on Overland Journal's long-term review G5. It's in the Ride Report section. The bike handled everything from 4WD trails to 108-degree freeways, while loaded with camping gear.

Sounds like a great ride Jonathan, love the pics, and thanks for posting the link Ray.
I've done a lot of driving (car) round those parts but I always thought how great it'd be on a bike. I'm told there's a place in Arizona where you can rent a UCE Royal Enfield by the day, and that's going to be high on the agenda for my next trip to USA.
Just as soon as I've finished paying for my own G5...... :-\

This link shows Report of MARCH 6, 2010 - Trip to Bisbee. JMHAZ indicates that he did the trip only one week ago, shouldn't that be early September 2010 ?

Ray was kind enough to link to a post on the Overland Journal blog from several months ago. The trip to which I'm referring now is in the Ride Report section right here on this forum:

Thanks Jonathan for quickly pointing out to the right direction. That looks like a really great trip. Look forward to see the article when it appears, you said next year !

Yes, early next year most likely - it's really not appropriate for the winter issue, since many of the places I went are closed to travel then.

Sorry, didn't notice date of the link I posted :)
