I watched some YouTube videos of people on there ultrafast motorcycle travelling at speeds of in excess of 300klm on public roads . Weaving in and out of traffic being a danger to themselves and other road users.
Why don't they go to the Race tracks and get there speed fixes. In my area we have a 2.5 mile Long Road Track and you can go on bike nights for $85.00 go round just about as many times as you want.  Speeds of 300klms are possible on the back straight. ( I use the track on Car night and reach speeds of 220klms) So I can get my speed fix without loosing my license or endangering any one else.
If you and your buddies want the track to yourself you can rent it for around a $1,000.00 for the evening  and pretty well ride with no restrictions (10 guys $100.00 a head )
This would make more sense to me.

The only reason that I can think of is that they are looking for an adrenaline-rush and got their riding lessons in a video game. I have experienced riders like that passing cars traveling at 70 mph at over 100 mph. It is really scary when they pass you and you are not expecting it. I will split lanes, but I only do so when traffic is stopped or moving very slowly.

In Australia you need training and a CAMS racing licence to use race tracks.
