This review from the UK featured a Stellar with what look like RE bar end touring mirrors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zauzRZjY5rY  Just wondering where they came from. Not an option from RE for the Meteor as far as I can tell, and not offered by Hitchcocks for the Meteor. Kind of look similar to the Continental GT bar end mirrors. Anyone have any ideas how to get them?

Order them from your Royal Enfield dealer - they are the same as the ones for the 650s. Cost in the UK is £134.99.

Yes, thanks. Upon further research it seems an additional part is needed to fit the GT650 bar end mirrors to the Meteor, namely part KXA000125, bar end mirror mounts. Not sure if this part is widely available outside India yet.

I could be mistaken but believe Hitchcock's does list the bar end mirror end caps for the Meteor on their site.

I think the mirror kits come complete with the spacers etc. You just need to reuse the bar end caps/spacers/bar end weights  off the Meteor.

Thanks, but you need special caps (can't use the originals). The mirrors are the same ones as the Continental GT, however special caps are required for the Meteor. Fitting instructions and part number for the Meteor can be accessed here: https://www.royalenfieldaccessoryinstructions.com/instructions/kxa00125

Looked it up on Hitchcock's webpage, Meteor 350 accessories, and the special to the Meteor end caps are shown. Pull up the part and scroll down the page you will see the black bar end mirrors for the Continental GT 650 shown which also fit the Meteor and Interceptor.
I sent an email to my Dealer(closed Mondays) today and will give him first crack at getting the mirrors for me. If not I'm going with Hitchcock's.

I will be interested to hear how this goes, as far as how you like them, view to the rear and the actual amount of movement in the mirror swivel point. That last point is one big pain with the stock mirrors, as at first, they were so stiff they could hardly be budged, until I shot some silicone lube into the swivel point, but even then the left mirror does not adjust very well at all.

Anyone else encountered this problem? I was considering the stock style mirrors that RE offers in black, with their brand on them, because for the crazy price they want, they just HAVE to be better, n'est-ce pas?  £112.49 - Part # 1990454

I just went looking for those bar end mirrors and the required bits on the RE Accessory page sourced from this forum (Hitchcock's accessory list), but I don't see them on the four pages of stuff there. Is there some other RE accessory pages that I have not found yet?

Go to the MotoGB website (they are the official RE UK importer) where they have a parts page and click it. Click on the relevant bike from the list and you will have the options of: frame parts, engine parts, and accessories. Click on accessories and you will see the complete list available from the official UK importer, showing the price if they are in stock. They also show the adaptors you need to mount the bar end mirrors.

Actually Hitchcocks does have them, as I eventually discovered. The bar end mirrors themselves are in the Continental GT section, and the adapter bar ends are on page 3 of the Meteor accessories section, called Bar End Mirror Mounting Kit, price GBP 16.66... https://accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/43803?ref_page=Meteor%20350cc

Timely for our discussion just today Hitchcock's has listed the black RE branded bar end mirrors in their Meteor accessory section. Now if they'll just get that rear luggage rack listed...
When I get the bar end mirrors will certainly report about them Dexter. My issue with the stock units is I'm fairly broad shouldered and always wear my Brooks bike jacket so my shoulders block part of the view.

OK, I went searching for Meteor accessories on the main MotoGB web page, but did not see it mentioned anywhere at all. It is always more helpful, if one has the page at hand, to post the actual link to it for others to easily find it. Thank you.

This is the website you can't find. However, as it is the UK importer site, they may refer you to the Canada RE importer.

We have a saying around here, 'snooze ya lose'. Gave my dealer 2 days to respond about the mirrors, no joy, so just ordered from Hitchcock's. The mirrors, adaptors, tank side pads and a 14 mm hex head socket. I've been using a SAE 3/8" bolt (hex head) to remove the inspection cover on the INT but now can add a bit of couth to the valve lash job. ;)

Wondering if the Tec Bike Parts bar ends for the Continental GT and Interceptor would work, along with the Meteor bar end adapters from Hitchcocks? Any thoughts? Tec is reluctant to confirm this before they get their own Meteor, but it would sure be a cheaper option than the expensive OEM mirrors (33 pounds versus 112), and they also come in silver as well as black.

First post here.  For what it is worth, I have replaced my Meteor's stock mirrors with a pair of CRG Blindspot mirrors, mounted under the grips and oriented inboard.  I wanted a low-profile look and to avoid a typical bar-end setup.  I found enough space to clamp the mirrors by moving the controls and grips inward by 10mm on each side and kept the stock bar end caps.  The CRG mirrors, admittedly smallish at 2", have excellent optical quality replaceable glass.  Properly aimed, they provide all the essential information I need.

Rather harsh on a first time poster! The response falls within the topic title and adds information to the topic. Not everyone has photos to hand and sufficient info is given to allow a simple Google search.

Dexter:  Sorry 'bout that.  I appreciate that some peeps are visual learners.  If you google the product named in the post - BAM!  1st thing ya get is a pic.  More importantly, read the product reviews (stellar!)

What was salient about my post was how I hung them down under the grips and oriented inward - which avoids using any sort of bar-end adapter AND adding 6" of unnecessary width to my bars.

Maybe you are new to motorcycle forums, but my comment was in no way meant to offend. It is a common phrase used on other motorcycle forums, to spur the poster to show us what he/she has done. Why make others bother to search for something, which many won't bother to do, if you have the goods at your fingertips with a few clicks?

From another forum, if this makes it more palatable. The gif is active on the other forum, with the little guys jumping up and down.

Nope, not new to motorcycle forums. Still believe that OP post was constructive and not useless but we all have different views.

I'm thinking about replacing the mirrors on my Supernova with the official RE bar end mirrors. They are a bit on the expensive side (and aesthetically different as they are black vs the chrome stock ones), so I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has done this and what is the feedback, good, bad or indifferent?

I love the RE bar end mirrors on my Fireball Yellow Meteor. The forward view is much cleaner and unobstructed with them.

Same. Ever since bringing the supernova in the house for winter (no garage but hooray for double doors off the back), it means walking past the poor thing with morning coffee and contemplating mods...

And it hit me that those RE bar-ends would be nice, coupled with the dark flyscreen. Looks like the position of the actual mirrors wouldn’t be too far off where they are now, just a bit further out horizontally, which would be ideal.

The flyscreen curiosity is due to other threads where people have conflicting views of the big touring screen. I dig mine, but trying to diagnose the wind noise drowning out the Sena speakers. Can’t hear a thing at speed (screen? helmet? Old man disease?) But that’s OT, worthy of another thread. But the bar-ends seem like a natural fit.
