Title: Dumping The Hump
Post by: cafeman on May 11, 2014, 02:27:51 am
In the process of a teardown and will be removing all traces of the electric start. Regarding the starter mount bosses on the right case, has anybody ground down those and polished the area? Really what I want is a close-up of a kick only case so I can duplicate as much as possible. And I assume the case joint bolt would pass all the way through as the others do?

A very accurately done drawing of the angle you want is found at this link.

Note that on the KS engine cases, the external oil line has a different mounting position on the engine case, and it was moved for the ES because it was right where they put the starter motor on the ES.
