Title: New Norton Project
Post by: 72westie on December 09, 2012, 01:35:04 pm
I got a text message about this bike being on the Cleveland Ohio Craigslist from a buddy, who was even nice enough to go and buy it and pick it up for me too. The bike ended up being only 2 miles from his house, on his road too.

Its a numbers matching '66 750 Atlas. Pretty much complete, has the wrong tach and tail light. The motor is free and has good compression.  No spark right now, not sure if the magneto is working on not, I may try and take it apart and clean it, if it still doesn't work, I will ship it out to a pro. Came with a seat and title too! I may need a tetanus shot before working on her!

Thanks guys. Yeah, I have WAY too many unfinished projects right now, that's for sure!

Ended up cleaning the carbs and took the mag points plate and cam out, cleaned it all up and now she sparks!
