Red leather on red bike.  Looks flat out awesome!

Yeah, I see chrome on the struts on the back side shot but not your bike.  What's up?

Thanks! I found the picture of the back on this site, I stole it to show Will how the bags mounted. No extra chrome for me :D

Hi r80rt,

I have the same bags in black on my C5 maroon the look great, I've had them on for the loast 1 1/2 years. The only problem I took them off for the first time the other day to clean my bike after a week long bike ride and they have rubbed of a lot of paint right down to bare metal on the bottom strut. I've touched up the paint but I haven't put the bags back yet till I get some plastic/rubber tubing on the strut to protect. I hope you will do the same, don't want to damage the paint work like mine.

Thanks Keith, I wrapped the struts with tape in the contact areas before I mounted the bags ;)

3M film or TankSlapper film are both great for that kind of thing.  I had some TankSlapper on an old bike, great stuff.  I need to get some more to keep the speedo cable and Brake line from rubbing the fender paint.

Quick question...  did you have to remove the fender struts to install these?

Thanks

Nope, they go on with straps, snaps and buckles. Easy on and easy off,  I really like them.

Bike looks great, very classy. Question for you : how did you color the RE on your cases ? I would like to do that also on my G5, but don't want to pull the cases off. Thanks.

Bright red enamel and a small paint brush, take your time, make sure everything is clean and have lots of rags handy! :D

Sorry I came to the party a little late.

Where did you get the bags and how much do they cost?

I am not a big fan of bags but there are times when they come in very handy, yours look good.
