Hickory?? ... on the hoof?? That makes me so sad  :'( These fellows up around here think apple wood is for "bar-b-que" ..... They have NO IDEA what smokin' a piece of pig over hickory all day is all about ......  :( I've almost forgot, too - they ain't no hickory up here in the tundra!

Very nice r80rt, the color of the bags go perfect with the color of the bike. ;)

Yeah - It's sad, isn't it .... I'll be there. I'll bring a tent or HOPEFULLY the rebuilt VeeDubya camper bus to collapse in after I've had some REAL "BWAH-Bee-Que" .... Hahahaha!

Nice looking bags, classy. Did you add some sort of frame to strap them onto, or do they fix to existing struts? Quick to remove when you get to the motel? (Sometimes you just can't get the bike into the room   ;))

Thanks, the bags strap on to the fender frame work, and are easy to remove. I was surprised at how heavy these are built, it looks like saddle skirt leather and my whole shed now smells like a leather shop.

Thanks.  They do look good quality. I just didn't have the money when I bought my saddlebags. They cost around £50 from fleabay and you can tell if you look closely. I mean, they look ok on the bike and hold enough kit for a weekend away. Thick el-cheapo hide, but the straps are made from all sorts of mis-matched bits of leather.
Strictly functional, min spec, chinese no doubt.   :-\
