The 2nd RE our shop sold was a C5 Black.
Great guy in Modesto, Ca.
He called me about 2 weeks later to say he had received the spares kit we sent him and that RE  had sent him a letter and a certificate congratulating him on owning Number 1 of the first 100 Cali RE's made!
Is that cool or what?
IMHO, they better get the fellas cracking on another batch. The initial 100 won't last thru spring. Then what, a shortage?
Here we go !!
Current bikes:
'71 BMW R75/5 racer
'73 Kaw Z1 racer
'77 Tri 750 Bonneville
'99 BMW R1100RT

That's pretty darn nice!
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

Lots of parts, lots of money, and a deep dive into the motor to assemble it all.

Al said their second one was #1. I think it is the order they were certified to come into the Republic of California.

I agree,  the certificates are not numbered in the order sold.  I got my C5 back in Nov last year, and my certificate is numbered #76

Have to? No I could have waited, and waited and waited for San Francisco but I chose Fresno. They have bikes in stock. They are knowledgeable and friendly and I had a very nice ride back on the two lane roads. They are having an open house with a possible appearance from the president of Royal Enfield USA. Want fire up your KLR and take a ride down there?

The sequence is random from the Cali warehouse.
It's just the luck of the draw. It's bitchin that someone at RE would think about serializing the first batch.
Were due to get our third C5 Black and third C5 Teal tomorrow.
These were ordered via email on Friday afternoon last. 2-3
working days days tops from order to delivery. I love it!

Oops!
I'm 53 and since we got the RE's I tend to do more reverting to simpler, fun times past.
I take our demo out on a smile run and all is right with the world again.
Speed safely,
Big Al

Morning Al. I sent you an email. You should put an upswept on the demonstrator. You may have already. I didn't spend much time looking at it but boy does it wake up that bike!
