Uncle Ernie - If your puller has a good bite on the rotor and you can get a little pressure on it, do this .... Cinch it up tight and gently tap the center of the puller with a big mallet. This will usually pop them loose. The trick is the "jar" that a little inertia from a heavy mallet will put on it. It usually doesn't take much. Be warned, though - you CAN split the end of the crank if you hammer on it TOO hard. I've ground the tip of the screw down flat to prevent this, instead of having the cone-shaped end going into the end of the crank ....... Again - if you can pull it up tight on there - I'm bettin' a tap ot two will see it on the floor ......
