Loving that G5! Now why didn't they do that from the start? Damn!  ::)

Hope the parts retro fit; I guess it's cheaper than buying a new one.

The names start to get a bit confusing here, but the second offereing ambiguously called 2011 "Bullet  (aren't they all Bullets?)  is a thing of beauty.   Very subltle differences from the Canadian "Electra/US G 5" but this hits the nail on the head...Just in the nick of time.....before we all broke the piggy pank for IIterceptors!   Love the rear fender girders.    Love the shape and coutour of the rear fender and the triangular plate at the frame of the rear .  Now this could be pretty easy to mod into a "Machismo" with a winshield and bags, and, if you wanted the split seats, though the two up looks just fine.   Nigel.

I'm not generally a fan of the more square fender on the 350 but that G5 is just great, it looks awesome.  I'm not sure if I like the chrome deluxe C5, I'll have to see it in person I think.

And let's all bid a fond farewell to the chrome hot dog boxes!

Is it my imaginiation,  or is the whole engine housing on this "Bullet" a little closer to the horizintal and perpendicular to ground/frame than in the current G5 , (in which to me it appears to be angle ever so slightly forward.   )?  The whole bike looks like it has a slightly more "upright " appearance. It may be just the effect of the squared rear fender , but it looks more vertical.  Nigel

I like the chromed C-5. It looks a little speed twinish in red.  I'd like to see it in black.

Nigel - I think that's just an optical illusion as the UCE engine in the original Classic (read Iron Barrel) chassis appears more "squared off" because the rest of the bike sort of is. The G5 Electra Classic has a bit more sweeping lines to it - and the wheelbase is a tad longer - thus giving the engine that "in motion whilst standing still" sort of look. The Basic Bullet has been offered for a while in India with the carburetted 350ccm engine in it and is VERY popular still. It's truly the best of the old AND the new! The Classic chassis with the most modern and adept powerplant that RE has ever made, fuel injection and the lovely disc brake. If I were going to build and Enfield from bits - that bike is EXACTLY what I'd build for myself.

The "new" G-5 is what I hoped for when the UCE engine was announced, I am sooo glad I waited for this one. And yes, very happy to see the chrome pill go away.

Well - As I understand it .... these models are a "GO" for the USA market - BUT - I don't know when the "official" introduction by the dealers will be. It's pretty obvious that there will be no "real" trouble to produce these models - although the Factory is quite near capacity the way it is. I'm waiting on pins and needles as well ...... it could take a while, however, for the production to begin. I'm signing up for the black one, I think ....  ;) Stay tuned!

In my experience a new Royal Enfield is well Worth the wait.
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.
