Quite possibly a dumb question, but I've noticed on the pre-UCE models, the tappet cover has one screw right in the middle but the UCE's have four screws. Is there a reason for this or just a different style cover?

It just gives you three extra chances NOT to remove it because there is nothing to do behind it. Besides - if you put the bolts in the corners, you can engrave "EFI 500" in the middle of it!  ;)
Spare the pig iron - spoil the part!

Big +1 to what he said ^

UCE's have hydraulic lifters,,,,no adjustment required.
( and quiet too )

No matter where you go, there, you are.

I knew she had hydraulic lifters, I just wasn't sure if there was any real pro/con to using four or one. I'm curious because all of the custom covers I find are of the single bolt variety.

The car is actually a '78 Dodge Charger. It was my first car about 8 years ago. I haven't seen it in about 2 years; just sits in my dad's garage, unfortunately. No room to keep it in San Diego.

Well,it is cool, anyway.I had forgotten about those.I was disappointed in them at the time, because of the previous models. Now they look really good to me.They are among the last chrome bumper cars, for one thing.
