Exerpt from an email update......

"Hello friends and family,

As always, we are so appreciative of the constant phone calls and emails inquiring about Juan's progress!  We feel blessed to be in your thoughts and prayers.

Juan is back in the hospital and his doctors will permanently seal the air leak in his right lung that has not healed properly after his last surgery.  Because the right lung received so much radiation, the tissue is stiff and brittle and does not have the ability to heal as quickly as "normal" lung tissue would.  He is scheduled to have surgery next Tuesday, Dec. 21st at 1:30pm.  We hope and pray that he will experience a swift and complete recovery after surgery next week.  Please continue to pray for him!

Email is still the best way to contact me for an update since I am visiting Juan in the hospital as often as possible.  I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope for health, joy, peace and prosperity for you and yours in the New Year!

Sincerely,

Grace/Graciela"

I have thought long and hard about posting these updates....but I think Juan would be OK with it.....I know he cares about all of us!

I have benefitted from his advice and wisdom me on more than one ocassion since I have know him and I know a lot of you feel he is specail to you also.

I'm sending all the prayers I have his way.
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

O God who are the only source of health and healing, the spirit of calm and the central peace of this universe, grant to me such a consciousness of your indwelling and surrounding presence that I may permit you to give me health and strength and peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Good luck Papa Juan.

I have enjoyed correspondence with Juan in the past. He is a fellow follower of Christ. Which is no doubt the source of Juan's remarkable strength, and up standing  character.

God is in the business of molding lives and answering prayers.

There have certainly been times in my life when I have been disappointed in the human race, but you group of guys are great examples of the good in people.   You guys are the best… a true “community”.    We all hope and pray that Juan will heal quickly and soon put this all behind him.

I really believe in prayer. But I think there is something to the positive thought idea...so either way it is good to pray for or meditate in some way for our friend Juan and his family right now.
