I miss my Dafna ex-police boots.
 Looking at the modern power ranger/superhero boots makes me nauseous.

Any idea where to either get some serviceable vintage Dafna's or who makes something similar?

Failing that, a pair of Jawa boots would work for my purposes.

Have you looked at these?

I have read rave reviews on them over at ADV Rider  but don't yet own a set...  One of these day I will get around to buying some...

Sportsman's Guide has some 19" riding boots that are pretty awesome - I have a pair. They are not the buckle up kind that you have (I remember those!) but when broken in, are cofy, stylin' and quite warm and dry. Here is the link to look:

Since motocross is out for me... too many buckles = less time riding.  ::)

My favorite are Kochmann out of Germany. Alas, I can't find them listed here in the States any longer. But these may be of interest. Go to products tab;

The specs I'm chasing

Tall uppers with padded front to soften the impact of rocks and no zippers to leak when fording shallow creeks.

Buckle adjustments don't pack up with mud or wear out like velcro.

Lugged out sole for traction on the trail side and the inevitable hike out of the woods.

Doubler patch on the toe to absorb wear from the shifter.

No matter where you go, there, you are.

 No black diamond trails that's for sure. Off pavement stuff is mostly logging trails, Forrest service roads, single track and the like.
 I have only one pic till I get the other computer fixed.
