At least it smells nice. Can't do that around here anymore , the fire dept. and swat team would show up. :D

I burn gasoline chomping my leaves up into dust for fertilizer ..... It's kinda funny, too - because I have induced a couple of the neighbors to do it as well. Previously, they all pick their yards clean with tweezers in the fall and them dump a tonne methyl-ethyl bad sh!t on them in the spring to make up for lack of nutrients! Go Figger! The leaves fall off the trees for a REASON .....  ::)

I did the ride around in a square configuration and choped up the leaves...Only problem was I forgot again this year to wear eye protection...Im okay but felt the chard bits of dried leaves for two days...The safety glasses are now along side the ear protection on the mower seat..
Oh Magoo you done it again

Absolutely I am! This is one of the BIG reasons that I LOVE the Enfield ...... EM-PEE-GEE's! You'll not catch me dead driving a Chevrolet Sub-Division or a Ford Exploder or the like. Same with chemical crap on the lawn. It's not perfectly weed free - but the bunnies and squirrels don't DIE from merely walking across it - and I got a metric shat tonne of good old earthworms quietly turning my leaf dust into good old worm poop ..... Hahaha! I've always been a bit of a cheap bastage - and often times, cheaper IS greener! We can't use it ALL up right now .... there may be a future out there or some such, eh?  ;)

Is everybody on here younger than me?Or just tougher and more determined.I just do not care to ride at temps below 65 f.Torture.Then,I cannot get warmed up,cold to the core.We have been having an easy fall in Missouri with many days in the 60s and today we will see 55.It is soon gonna go away,and I will feel better and more justified in neglecting to ride Jolly.I would go for a ride today but I am enjoying a really nice association with a respiratory virus,taking up all my time.I will actually be finishing off the 2 sumbitchin MGs.Midget is almost done,TD is at the stage where things start to speed up,ready for primer,chassis restoration complete,etc.I will never do a TD again,too many details.

Br. single,
 Sorry to hear your under the weather. Prayer for a speedy recovery.

Younger and tougher ? naw just really good cold weather gear and LOTS of coffee  ;)

I've found that if I treat an illness with Irish whiskey, I can keep it all winter! ;D

I'm finishing the move to Hawaii, riding the scooter and the Enfield, driving the convertible and the Mini, bought a Falcon Ranchero, going to the beach right below the house, waiting on my wife to get here next month, staying warm and comfortable, and not having aches and pains !!

Here is how I feel about whiskey,

"If when you say whiskey you mean the devil's brew, the poison scourge, the bloody monster, that defiles innocence, dethrones reason, destroys the home, creates misery and poverty, yea, literally takes the bread from the mouths of little children; if you mean the evil drink that topples the Christian man and woman from the pinnacle of righteous, gracious living into the bottomless pit of degradation, and despair, and shame and helplessness, and hopelessness, then certainly I am against it.

"But;

"If when you say whiskey you mean the oil of conversation, the philosophic wine, the ale that is consumed when good fellows get together, that puts a song in their hearts and laughter on their lips, and the warm glow of contentment in their eyes; if you mean Christmas cheer; if you mean the stimulating drink that puts the spring in the old gentleman's step on a frosty, crispy morning; if you mean the drink which enables a man to magnify his joy, and his happiness, and to forget, if only for a little while, life's great tragedies, and heartaches, and sorrows; if you mean that drink, the sale of which pours into our treasuries untold millions of dollars, which are used to provide tender care for our little crippled children, our blind, our deaf, our dumb, our pitiful aged and infirm; to build highways and hospitals and schools, then certainly I am for it.

"This is my stand. I will not retreat from it. I will not compromise."
