Remove the motor, send it separately, and you'll be just fine.  I've built cars using an old camaro frame but nothing else that goes with it, and as long as the VIN pulls up you're fine.

PROTIP: if you have problems with the DMV when it comes to registration, get an insurance quote from Geico and use that as evidence.  State Farm, Progressive, Allstate all told me my US model was a kit bike or unknown, but Geico found it immediately.  You don't have to buy insurance from them, but simply get a quote with the VIN present. 

If you remove the motor, and ship the tub separately as well, you can import it as decoration.  Tell them you're opening a restaraunt or something and it'll be the centerpiece.
