The attached pic shows what I felt impelled to do to my Bullet Sixty-5 tail light housing and license plate bracket.  The stock item, as many may have noticed, points the tail light lens up at an undesireable angle.  The housing, that fits againt the fender, was scribed and cut and repainted to make the tail light lens to be almost horizontal on its top surface.  Alas, there is no easy way to actually get it properly level unless a lot more work is done.  The area supplied for foreigner type license plates is far too large for any State of the Union plate.  So it too was altered.  A horizontal strip was cut out and the mounting plate welded back together.

Looks much better that way.  I've been itching to do the same thing to mine.  Unfortunately, it'll have to wait until I get some maintenance out of the way (brakes need some attending to, fluid changes due, new washers for leaking banjos, etc.)

I chunked my OEM piece of crap.

The Lucas replica MT-110 looks great on the military. And it's a whooping 1.5" in
diameter!!!   :o

J&P Cycles [Harley wantabe stuff mostely].  www.jpcycles.com.  They have pages of small lights in their catalog.  The law has never questioned me about them.  I use handsignals anyway because most of my motorcycles are so old they don't have turnsignals.

I'm sure you can do a better job than what I did because I was in a hurry and didn't do very much planning.  An afternoon project.  The paint is black 'rattle can' but ya can't tell.

Looks good! I am still at a loss for words when it comes to the stock 'lunchbox' tail light assembly. The bottom of it is curved as though it were for a different style of fender altogether. How could any designer/engineer put that on the bike and walk away satisfied? I bought the trials tail light and the trials turn signals for my '06 Bullet and they look nice.

It has to be a third storage compartment, they just forgot to make it accessable :P

Here is what my tail-light setup looks like. The turnsignal angle is pretty much what dictated the location of the bracket on my fender. Cheers!
