I have an '09 AVL with 4700 miles that is making more growly noises than I am used to hearing from machinery.  I have attempted to account for timing gear depthing noise, but still too much growling.  I read that a number of folks have had problems with early bearing wear, so I had the oil analyzed and I have posted the results here.  A bit too much copper, they say, which could come from a bearing cage, I suppose.

Have you had an oil analysis?  What were the results?

Thanks,

Dave M

Yes they are a bit growly and clunky and make more noises that what we are used to in this year of 2010 with Hondas about.

A bit of copper in the oil and you need an analysis?   You need a noise analysis.

You've probably driven it too hard when she was a baby
