I'm no noob,so this is really messing with my head...fully charged, fairly new battery, fresh fuel, new plug, fresh oil,new ATF in the primary case...Royal Enfield maintainance day was going so well...BUT...no spark...bullet connector behind the battery?Nope. It's good.Bad ground connection?Nope. It's good.I've checked every electrical connection, bullet or otherwise, and they're fine. The kicker is that it's not just ONE of my Bullets, but the 2000 KS w/electronic ignition,AND the 2002 ES with points... ???...I'm almost to the point of taking to the local "expert",who works on any bike, regardless of make or vintage...I really hate to let anyone else work on my Enfields, but I'm about at the end of my rope...any ideas out there?Voltage regulator?Rectifier?Gremlins? Help... :'(

Mite check all the places where electricity goes in to see if it comes out,Hard to believe both are doing the same thing at once.Suggest keeping them more separate.

If you have 12 volts at the coil and your bullet connector is good, it will fire, (if the points open and close). It's that simple. If there is no volts at the coil, pull your headlight and check for volts at the ignition switch and ammeter. If you have volts at the coil and no fire it's possible the coil is dead. With the electronic ignition bike, my suggestion would be to install points.

Can you by-pass the kill switch and see if that gets you spark?

Hardly ever do,but I reread my post and it sounds kinda flippant, not what I meant to convey.Just trying to keep it simple and jolly.

 Don't overlook the ignition switch.
Mine had a loosely crimped electrical end plate.

A few judicious squeezes with slip joint pliers tightened thing up.
No matter where you go, there, you are.

;D-UPDATE- ;D...The 2000 KS had a plugged atmospheric vent tube, and an air bubble in the fuel line...unclogged the tube, fuel flowed, started on the first proper kick...the 1999 DLX has a chain with a half-broken link,so it's on the sidelines until my master link arrives, but it's starting on the first kick...I ordered a spare master link, and spare half link for each of my three Bullets...turns out that my ignition switch was coming apart, hence the rough running that no amount of carb tuning would fix...epoxied it back together until my new one arrives...damn 2002 ES still won't start,though... :P...it's always something...thanks for all of the hints, helpful and otherwise, and the encouragement from all of my fellow Bulleteers...Happy Motoring, and I'll keep everyone posted... ;D
