A bump, because I've never heard of it and I just saw some pics from this years - awesome!

For next September, 2014, the website description says pre-1930.  The website logo, however, says pre-1937.  Who knows?

The stop on Sept. 16th has them only 1 hour from me.

My friend Gerald Tims #50 is riding in this event.  Hoping to meet with the group in Junction City, KS Sep 12 for their day of rest.  Might be fun to see all the old iron.

I don't have any idea where I'll be during the 2014 race but if at all possible, I would be in CO while they pass through.  The challenge of the Divide and the majestic background scenery would be compelling enough to plan a trip.

Let me know if you make it up this way, I'd love to meet up with you and ride up there.

Dan Kearny do you want in on this?  Or other newer Dan in Parker?

Thanks Scottie.  I'll keep that in mind.  One of my goals for the 56 by next summer is to install a side car.  Maybe that wil give the wife reason to tag along as well.

Lahti,
Good to see that you still stop by occasionally! Are you missing the GAZ or the Saab the worst? (If it's the GAZ,I just may have a cure...lol).

Take care!

Sam

I'm up for a coast to coast enfield ride.

I assume all expenses will be covered along with lost wages :)

Interestingly, I couldn't find what the cost was to participate in the cannonball...

That settles it then - I'm signing my B5 up now for the 2093 Cannonball...

Doesn't surprise me that registration is closed to new  entries.  Once they increased the entry age of the bikes by 20 years, it exposed a huge number of riders with antique bikes.  After I ride my 1956 Bullet for a day long trip of a couple hundred miles, it would be unbelievable to think I could do that for 17 consecutive days.  What an incredible adventure.  You can't really be too focused on expenses and lost wages!  Once in a lifetime opportunity.  I showed the website to my lovely wife the other night and she immediately said that if I had the right bike, I'd be signing up for sure.  I said ... Yep.  She would be a perfect SAG wagon supporter.
