I am attempting to set up the brand new Mikuni 30mm Flat-slide carb on my Suzuki DR 350. I am a novice when it comes to this, so I am wondering how many turns out to go with the throttle idle screw and the idle mixture screw on the bottom of the carb. And help?

The usual starting points are to set the air bleed screw 1.5 turns out from fully seated, and turn the idle speed screw so that it just barely begins to raise the throttle slide.
Then, once you get it started, you can tune it more accurately while it's running.
