Just hit 5,000 miles today. Bought the bike 2 years ago (2002 ES) with 458 miles on it.
I know it's not much compared to some (Mike with his 33k +, new UCE's with 10k, and so on), but I think it's pretty decent for 2 years. Mostly trouble free too! Just thumping along.

Dave:

Keep on thumping !  It does not matter how many miles one rides, or how fast one rides.  RE is all about JOY of riding.  A small piece of Swiss dark chocolate is more satisfying than a whole bar of Hersheys  ;D.

Nice one Dave!  I'm also a "Dave" and I also just turned over 5000 miles!  We must be parallels.  Whoooooooooa now.

Admittedly my bike was "new to me" last year with half of those miles already on them.  Most of my miles are from my daily commute.  Round trip it should be only 14 miles or so, but with my daily "detours" I tend to push about 20.  The nicer the day... the bigger the detour.  What a way to bookend my day.

Keep on racking'm Dave... race you to 10k!

Yup...    just keep riding "the roads less traveled" and enjoy every mile.
I still get a big smile when I grab a handfull of throttle in 3rd gear...

as far as those Hersheys; now that they are made south of the border do
we really know what's in them??

Sunny day today, high in the low 70's. Put another 91 miles on the bike.
A couple of pictures on the roads I like to ride on, Deer Creek Canyon and nearby areas in the foothills west of Denver.
