My wife had to shoot through to Aussie for a family wedding - I had to stay home to finish a boat for a guy so my son went with her.

A friend who has an oyster farm stopped in today and gave me 3 dozen oysters.
Went to the butcher and had him cut a thick steak for me.
The result is a Carpetbagger Steak, with beer.

Man, 4 days of Man Time ahead... 8)

Lucky you! Enjoy it.

My last stint of mantime consisted of cooking on the Foreman grill a really old (+/- 2 years) filet mignon we had in the freezer. Covered it in smoky Chicago steak seasoning and grilled the heck out of it. No need for anything else except a big bottle of dark, strong beer and my favorite copy of Moby Dick. Probably one of the best nights at home I've ever had.

I'm going to have a whole four days with just me and the dog later this month. Starting to think about what meats I'll cook and beers I'll drink.

Also thinking of picking up a cheap old Schwinn roadbike or something to modify into an interesting, race-y ride. Now that I'm without the Bullet, I'm going through mechanical hobby withdrawal and *really* need something to mess with.

Funny how we all tend to gravitate toward the same things when the women go away.

My Gal is out of town too, til Sunday night... fun will be had by all, (me and the dogs)

If it wasn't cooked you guys might  think that we still throw people into the cooking pot!
We quit doing that a while ago - except maybe for the odd American. ;D

"Odd American?  Is there some other kind.......?"  ;)  WillW

But, of course, there is at least one other kind, Br. Will.  I know plenty of odd Brit transplants who became naturalized American citizens!  :D
Long live the Bullets and those who ride them!

Keep the shiny side up, the boots on the pegs and best REgards,
