When I logged in this morning I noticed that this forum (UCE) has made 10,000 posts.  Not bad considering that the UCE is the newest of Enfield Models to talk about.  It says a lot about the camaraderie and long distance friendships we have built here.

On this "Birthday" so to speak I would like to propose a toast to every one of you.

I for one am proud to have associated with all of you and feel blessed to have had the ability to share what I know and am eager to continue to learn what you know about these eclectic models and history of the Enfield.  Every time I log in here I learn something new.

I am also very please that the politics and personal snips that frequent so many forums on the internet does not seem to occur here in the UCE.  Another testimony to the integrity of everyone here.

COOL.
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

Completely agree with everything said. I have learnt a lot from this place and it's so great that there are people here who have forgotten more than I will ever know about motorcycle engines, frames and electrics and yet they never talk down to people like me. Thanks, guys.  :)

Well, Br. Gorilla, I'm holding out until I have a better understanding of my long term health outlook in order to squeeze (pull) the trigger on one of the UCE models.  I know Br. Quinn specifically wrote about the UCE Section of the CMW Forum.  I agreed with him on the specific and the general sense with regard to the members -- our brothers and sisters -- of this forum.

The C5 and the G5 are still RE Bullets.  So, at the risk of sounding repetitive, I remind ourselves:

Long live the Bullets and those who ride them!

Ha Ha  -  ten thousandTH only. A nice fluke   :D
The sprag is fixed and I'm mobile again. Now the wretched van has packed up on me so the bike is being used for general commuting, which I'm really enjoying. Thankfully, we are currently blessed with fine weather. Van will cost £600 !!! to repair!    :o
There goes the next three months bike payments....   >:(
I'm still waiting for the new relay, but the old one has been behaving since I swore vigorously at it and doused it in ACF 50. Bike is running beautifully and I clocked 6000 miles at the weekend. Strangely, and same as Clubman reported, the new sprag seems to have cured the clacking auto-decompressor problem too. So far.....
What next?  Well, winter's coming, which usually means a lot of cold rain and rivers of mud round here, so firewood duties and workshop maintenance will have to suffice to fend off riding withdrawal blues......   ;)

What is ACF 50 made of ? Does it have any smell ?

Is it like WD 40 in US, a petroleum based lubricant that has yukky smell ?
