hang tight, brother. i feel your pain. while not as far north as you, i spent a while on the VT/Canada border, land of the lost. usually had a foot of snow by the first week of Oct. and it accumulated and stayed until April... tough cycle territory. lots of long dark hours looking at parts catalogs and dreaming of better weather. i used to use the winter as an excuse to disassemble my r/60 and spit shine it, and put it under the bed for safe keeping, to let it know i hadn't forgotten about it during the long cold dark. (all work and no play makes jack a dull boy.... all work and no play makes jack a dull boy...) ;)

this, too, shall pass.

ride till it hurts, then push a little more.
the spring will come again.

Well I did 30 miles, in what some might call brutal conditions. Didn't see any other motorcycles on the road.
Long Johns and rain gear , wool scarf, full face helmet.
It wasn't to bad.

True, spring or fall.
I had a great summer, this is a reminder how short summer is.  :'(

I spent 2 summers in Ak.1 winter.Army made a mistake,supposed to be 2 winters.Pretty funny.Summers are really nice.Kinda short.Had a Honda Dream,150.2 roads,paved.Broke the chain on the way to Fairbanks,caught the bus.Came back with the chain,no bike.Scouted around and found it under a pile of carefully placed brush.Nice.

90 degrees -expected thunderstorms today and tomorrow but brightening for Monday and tuesday. Sunday 50% chance of precipitation with more in the evening .

Monday improving to 20% chance of precipitation and overcast on Monday.

Here is where I am now trying to antifoul my boat--in the rain.

Well thanks Clamp.  I showed the web page to the Mrs. for a retirement move.

She said I would get a appliance repairmans butt crack if I moved  there.

She seems to think all I would do is sit around consuming drinks with little paper umbrellas in them.
