Are we supposed to be impressed by the bike, or amazed at the stupidity

Or is it a fake? I'm not convinced that road surface is moving by at 80mph. And if he is doing 80, his odometer suggests that poor bike is too young for 80mph....

Stupidity, low miles, etc aside, kinda puts a damper on the whole 'high speed instability' party.  If it's fake that's a lot of trouble to go through to make a fake.

Justin at Vespa PDX has had a few people come in asking about the C5 instability.  He hands them the keys and says, "See for yourself."  They come back, "There's no instability!"  Eggs-zack-leeeeee!  I'm not saying some bikes don't have the problem, some do, but it's not inherent to the design.

Oh, and he needs to add this soundtrack to that video ;)

The Crash Test Dummy has ALWAYS been pushed hard like that ..... From the time it had about, oh ...... 18 miles on it until it dies ..... which, at this rate, even WITH the daily whippings, will probably take forever .... Haw haw haw!! Abuse testing is my favorite kind .....  ::)

The Crash Test Dummy only gets ridden by motorcycle industry professionals. Both of its test riders are ex-racers and are highly skilled- so don't try this at home - or if you can't ride a bicycle!  ;D

Out of curiousity, Bob, what kind of fuel consumption do you get from the Crash Test Dummy? Is it the same as you'd expect from a carefully run in example or lower? (Please don't tell me it's better!  ;D)

Come on now, there's a piece of bubble gum under the needle, and it sounds like someone is pushing him on roller skates. :D I'm not saying it can't be done, but with all that moving around, yea, right. Now if someone was to film him from the side, with a radar gun, I might believe it.

Sorry boys! I know how you like a conspiracy. Its all true.
No fake footage, no super imposing, no car pushing the bike, or someone on roller skates pushing (gashousegorilla). It was just a good sunday afternoon idea to quite some of this noise about head shake or bad handling.

Here is the other video i made minutes before that one. Should be a little more evidence for the non believers.

The way we ride that bike i would say fuel consumption is not a concern of ours.
I would imagine it to be pretty good because its rather loose!  ;)

Oh, and sorry Ducati Scotty no music.

It probably looks slower than it is because the low sample rate on the camera comes together as a bunch of choppy stills more than a nice flowing movie.

And it's not music I want in the soundtrack, it's the "Wheeeee!"

The foot coming off the peg was an adjustment i had to make to keep going in the direction i wanted to go. When your not holding the bars the bike becomes very sensitive to wieght transfer. Tranfering more wieght to one side or the other on the seat will steer the bike. I was leaning over to stay straight.

You just reach down and wank the throttle cam at the throttle body. I did the "no hands" first for about two miles - but I was a chickenshit and kept my left hand on the top of the tank and I was tucked. I didn't sit up in the wind, play with my cell phone and look around at the scenery ...... old Mo' Money is a ridin' FOOL! - He's seriously better than most ... seriously. I'm old and rickety compared to him .......  ;D ....... but I ain't TOO skeer'd!
