Just Wondering: How many Royal Enfields (500 cc single cylinder) are currently in the US? Any idea ?

Papa Juan, I heard the guys at CMW estimate 4500 last year. BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE PERLA...............joe

Oh, no. I've seen one in Anchorage, and heard of one in Fairbanks. Rumered to be one in Sitka , maybe...

Good question, and it has been asked before. But we never get an answer from CMW. My guess is 2500 bullet Originals. Evidently, if we find out, the terrorists win.
2005E Fixed and or Replaced: ignition, fenders,chainguard,wires,carb,headlight,seat,tailight,sprockets,chain,shock springs,fork springs, exhaust system, horn,shifter,clutch arm, trafficators,crankcase vent.

Well,  I have a 95, and hear tell that in that first year for CMW  and very few were brought over.. My guess is one container.   1 of 50 maybe?

Cmon, help us out here..   The gvmnt might have a record  someplace...

To add to the dilemma, I recall seeing an ad in a cycle book in the mid 80's. You picked them up at the port of entry in New Jersey for something like $2600. Not sure if CMW was involved in that. There was no dealer net as far as I could tell.

3 in New Jersey  - well may be 4, if I include the one that I never saw on the roads  :D

How about writing the numbers of REs that you know in your State - then we can add them all up.  Will be a start.  

If two riders from the same state give different numbers, pick the higher number.  Don't forget to write the name of your state.

Cyrusb - how many do you know in  NY ?
Garbone - how many in Florida ?

i can vouch for 3 in lancaster  county, southcentral PA.

and while we're on the counting bikes and where thing... why doesn't the community map work on this site?
