Hi,
I have seen quite a few questions and discussions about gearing - recently Bradey asked about best speed/revs
I added this tool to my favorites :
www.gearingcommander.comMost data can be found in the manual - the diameter of the rear SM on the G5 is given as 68cm (avon website).
Rpm at max power doesn't really matter, it only determines the cut-off.
We know that max torque is around 4000 rpm and max power around 5250. so for active riding, the machine would be most efficient (happiest?) in the range between those 2 . - or check it out for yourself.
With the tool, it's easy to check what impact a different tire or sprocket would have.
cheers
