Beautiful looking Triumph!

I would ride it occasionally, and clean and maintain it like a new bike.
It will look great for years if you do that.

Besides, there are already plenty of them in museums.
Some of them need to be ridden, so people can remember what they are like.

Probably should ride it, as you say, occationally, and expect to keep it well maintained.  That would certinally be taking care of it.  I have a sad notion that my old friend sold it to me because he is getting his estate in order.  He does not need the money.  But we are old friends and I can't ask about motives like I was a new aquantance.  He offered it to me because he felt I'd take care of it?  When I went to get the machine he asked to ride it one more time.  He rode up the road and shifted so early, that if any earlier it would have lugged.  Came back, killed it, and sat there on it for a long moment looking down at the instruments.  Then I loaded it and took it away.

Br. Salt, I believe your old friend would like you to ride the (his) bike and hear about your adventures with it... don't you think?
Long live the Bullets and those who ride them!

Keep the shiny side up, the boots on the pegs and best REgards,

Papa Juan
