From the Guardian in UK. The Indians love stunts.

Phil:

At India's Independence day parade (August 15), they always have RE Bullets doing stunts or other interesting feats - such as numerous men sitting or standing / hanging on a group of motorcycles pyramid formation.  Sometime back they had a Guinness world record for carrying lots of men on RE - an iron work horse.  Makes an interesting show and good publicity to RE.

Indeed. I thought the timing on that picture was nice.

The timing is spot on, though it must be pointed out that digital cameras make that sort of shot a piece of cake. I looked up data on an amateur grade cam that can do a burst mode, 30 frame sequence at 40 frames per second. Then you just sit back and pick out the sweetest shot on your PC.

If you could get that shot on an old fashioned film SLR, a job in sports photography was yours for the taking.

I figured as much, and darn me and my old Cannon FTB still are un-employed from Sports Illustrated. Do they still make 35mm film?  ::)

Heard on the news not too long ago that they quit making Kodachrome.  'Bout ran off the road.  Good thing I wasn't on the bike.

Way back when I was REALLY into photography, I used Praktica (GDR) and some soviet cameras.  All VERY manual.  some SO manual that you had to turn a ring on the lens to stop down the f-stop, take the picture, then open the aperature to see through the lens again.
Does that qualify me to ride a Ural?  just wondering...

I bought an immaculate old Zenit for 10 GBP a couple of years ago. Now that really is a Ural type of camera.

I reckon all types of 35mm film will cease production before too long.
