I like twice a year too.  Just can't get enough motorcycle influence and all that Royal Enfield stuff.

Royal Enfield people are good people

Cheers,
Bill

Tacoma Ducks has the Dino Daze in June, 10th and 11th I believe.

AMCA puts on a vintage motorcycle show and swap meet in Tenino on the 3rd weekend of August every year.

Found a potential funky spot on the peninsula. Wig Wam Pub in Gorst, WA. Nice riding over there.

Gorst is good.  Sort of South West from Bremerton? Lots of trees if I remember right.

That will give me an actual ride (instead of an in-town putt) to the meet up!  8) Yeah!

Hi Bonne,
Welcome to Bullets and the forum !

If you want to put a few faces to names a half dozen of us WA Bullet owners are going to watch the Vintage motocross races at Pacific raceway in Kent on the 15th.  Just look for the RE t shirts and an RE hat or two.

Thanks again for the welcome and invitation, guys!  Alas, the universe just couldn't line up for me this weekend and I won't be able to attend the event.  I hope there'll be another opportunity this year to meet the crew!

The Portland ride sometime after the first week in August.

Bonnne, no need to wait for a specific event. Meet for coffee or a cheeseburger.

What area are you in ?

Most of the Bullet owners are around the Seattle area and a few of are scattered around the south Sound I.E. Tacoma, Puyallup, Roy, Olympia, Rochester.

The consensus so far is that the 3rd weekend of August is best for the Portland ride out.

If your reading this your welcome to come with.

Damon, Sven, Bill, Curtiss, Mike, Bill,Narada, Ballroom Dancer, Stealth Bomber, thirteenboxes, two very good friends are on standby in case of a serious breakdown. One has a car and trailer the other a pick up truck.

Ducati Scotty, what is your recommendation for lunch ?

Hey, Ice!  I'm in North Tacoma and I'm pretty sure I may have seen/heard one of you thumping around my neighborhood not too long ago.  It's been a busy summer but after this weekend I'm finally free to work on the bike and get her back on the road.  That Portland ride will be a great one to finally throw in with y'all!

So, that is the weekend before the solar eclipse and there may be some extra southbound traffic heading to the Salem area and other places in the path of full eclipse.  I suspect you'll be coming by a route other than the freeway, so probably won't matter too much.  Just something to think about for that date.

I can think of two places that would be good for lunch for the group.  One is Lardo East.  A place with tasty food and good beer.  Their indoor seating is limited but they have a large tent outside with lots of picnic benches.  No dedicated parking lot, but parking in and around there is usually easy enough to find.

The other good place would be Kelly's Olympian, an indoor downtown bar that's the third oldest bar/restaurant in Portland.  It has a dozen or two vintage bikes displayed inside and/or hanging from the ceiling.  It's downtown so parking is a bit more limited, though there are about 6-8 moto spots out in front.

If neither of those is appealing I can come up with dozens more, just let me know.

Also, before leaving, a fuel up with coffee from See See Motorcycles should be in order.  It's both a coffee shop and a motorcycle shop owned by the guy who hosts the One Motorcycle Show every year.

There are usually a few bikes on display along with the custom helmet collection and the adjoining shop has gear, apparel, and accessories for sale.  They also now own the local KTM shop which I think is a few blocks away.

Let me know what you all think :)
