To All,

I did not want to take on this task, but feel I have to pick a date... I am looking at my calender and see it is getting filled up.  I do not know how many people would want to get together for a ride in the country, but that is what some of us are trying to do.  I will also bring this up with my some of the VME riders at the next meeting in Seattle. That is August 1st.

So here is my summer schedule...
August 11/12 - Chehalis Classic
August 18 or 19 Get together ride in Wilkeson???
August 25/26 I am Heading to Bonneville Salt Flats
Sept 1/2 (Labor Day WE) I have something else going on
Sept 8/9 A VME thing
Sept 15 or 16 Get together ride in Wilkeson???

So for me the only dates I have open is the WE after Chehalis or a month latter in September...so is there anyone out there that wants to join in???

Mitch

Just cleaning up the Speed Trial Bike, went for a test run and everything is okay... I will plan to leave for Bonneville on Sunday 26 August at the latest so I will have Friday and possibly Saturday for the Ace Club Event.

All,

Just want to welcome one and all to come to the VME meeting in Seattle.  It is on Wednesday night, August 1st at 7pm.  I plan to get there by 6pm.  There is always alot of cool old bikes.  My new VME friend has an old Triumph and he has a buddy I have not met yet that rides an old British RE twin.  I will be one my Cafe Racer, so if you can, come on down!  It is at the Bogart Tavern on 3924 Airport Way, Seattle.  You do not have to join VME just to come look at the bikes.

Wilkeson is a go.  We can meet at the Wilkeson bar at noon on Sunday the 19 th. (weather permitting) It's the 1st building in down town. Wilkeson is 1 block long so it's easy to find.

I talked with the owner of the Carbonado bar and she said we can't park in the back yard... so..

I think ther will be enough room on the street in the front of the bar.  I will be going to the VME meeting tomorrow and try to talk it up with some guys there.  I will let you know if there is any interest...I'll even leave my hack home and take the cafe so we have room for another bike ;D

Just talked to the owner of the Carbonado saloon and she said it's ok for us to park in the back yard. So the 1st annual RE motor cycle show is on .I hope some of the vintage guys can make it. More later.

I can't join you Saturday morning at Vince's to go to the Farm.  A good friend passed away and I'll be going to a celebration of his life.  Sunday I can and will be at the Farm, God willing and the creek don't rise, in the Peanut Gallery, to Watch the Vintage Motocross.  Hope to see all of you There.

The ???weather report is for a sunny day on the 19Th??? .... so.... it looks good for a ride in the country to Wilkeson/ Carbonado. We can meet up in Wilkeson late morning and and leave at noon for a  ride a few miles down the road to the Carbonado Soloon. We have permission to park in the yard. I need to know how many will be there so I can tell the owner what to expect.

Using Google map and clicking options> avoid highways, it gives a 1 hour and 43 minute from Olympia and a 1 hour 28 minute ride from Seattle.

Here's the five day weather forecast.

Lets do it.
